Pawn of Prophecy Chapter 8

This chapter begins with Garion still learning the hand language from Silk. After a short distance Pol says there are people coming down the path. They move off a ways and Garion feels an unexplained sensation as some Murgos and a Grolim pass by.

After five more days of traveling they stop at Winold. Aunt Pol insisted that she not sleep on the ground again. Garion leaves to roam about in his own thoughts. While in the village he notices a figure he identifies as Brill meeting another figure. The two exchange words and some coin and Garion has to avoid being caught.

The boy quickly returns to the inn and tells everyone what he just saw. Silk leaves for about a half hour and returns with news that it seems Brill is hiring people to watch for them, but doesn't know they are there already. The group decides to leave at four in the morning to avoid detection. As they are leaving Garion notices a light in a window and mentions it to Silk.

They travel a few leagues and rest the horse in a copse of trees. Waiting there to see if anyone was following, Garion and Silk conversed. Garion has decided that they were following something thats been stolen. Silk also mentions that he doesn't think Garion is a Sendar. Matter of fact he is not sure what he is. They didn't notice anyone following so they continued on.

Another ways down the raod and they reached the farm to pick up the load of hams. Silk asks the farmer about Brill and learns that he was here a couple weeks ago. They spend the night at the farm and continue towards Muros the next morning with a load of hams to deliver.
